Setser with big results in USAC Indiana double; All eyes on Eldora
Gunnar Setser put it all together in his USAC National Sprint Cars weekend through the Hoosier State, not only concluding competition at Circle City Raceway and Tri-State Speedway with back-to-back top-ten appearances, but the young man out of Columbus, Indiana, led laps in the process, doing so in Circle City's Ashlea Albertson Memorial on Friday, September 12. In fact, Setser started from the pole in his Indianapolis visit, forced to battle Jake Swanson and Justin Grant before eventually fading to fifth.
The following evening in Haubstadt, Setser finished ninth, maintaining his place within the frontrunners after starting fifth on the 40-lap Haubstadt Hustler grid.
With all results considered, Gunnar Setser will roll into Eldora Speedway's 4-Crown Nationals weekend 13th in the USAC National Sprint Cars standings, trailing fellow Rookie of the Year contender Hayden Reinbold by two markers.
